South Iredell preparing for baseball dinner

South Iredell High School is preparing for its second annual baseball fundraising dinner, which will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Tickets for the event cost $20 per person and can be purchased by calling the high school at (704) 528-4536 and asking for Cheryl Harmon.
Dinner will be provided by Sagebrush Steakhouse, and nine-year Major League Baseball veteran Bryan Harvey is the guest speaker.
Door prizes at the event include a Pete Rose autographed baseball, NASCAR memorabilia and more.
Last year's proceeds went toward a concrete batting cage, Turface field conditioner, long sleeved mock turtlenecks, practice baseballs and other team equipment.
