Hiddenite man killed in motorcycle wreck

A Hiddenite man died late Thursday afternoon when a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Drumstand Road, which is off Old Mountain Road in Alexander County.
Christopher Shane Wagner, 22, of Hiddenite died on the way to Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Trooper R.V. McGee of the N.C. Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred when the motorcycle, being ridden by Wagner, collided with a pickup truck.
McGee said the motorcycle was traveling west on Drumstand Road at a high rate of speed, and the pickup pulled out into the path of the bike.
McGee said no charges are being filed against the truck driver.
