CONCORD - The Cabarrus College of Health Sciences will host an expert panel discussion about senior health care.
"Know Your Options" is an expert resource panel for seniors and their families. It will hold a presentation on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
The panel will discuss different types of care available for seniors, from adult daycare to skilled nursing.
Sitting on the panel will be: Dawn Paterniti, director of community relations at EdenGardens Assisted Living; Kelli Tremblay, director of admissions at The Brian Center; Robin Scharding, community service representative for Home Instead Senior Care in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties; Becky Bahn, community education and outreach coordinator for Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County; Carole A Sheidler, manager of Crescent Heights Retirement Community in Concord; Susan Wear, account executive for Gentiva Home Health; and Chance, a registered therapy dog.
"Know Your Options" will touch on options and benefits available for seniors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and VA benefits, and help sort through resources that are available to seniors and their loved ones.
Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is on the campus of CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
