What are the biggest issues facing your constituency?
Growth, Assimilation of the citizens into the resources and opportunities to serve Mooresville.
Of those issues, which is the most important?
Deploying the talents and gifts of individual citizens to serving their local community. "Think Globally, Act Locally"
What, if any, prior experience do you have that will help you if you're elected?
Town Board 2005-present. Attended all but two Town Board Meetings for two years prior to being elected. Well-grounded on the issues confronting us. National Training Director, Domino's Pizza of Canada 1988-1990. Community service from childhood to present. Hospice Nurse 2003- present. Compassion and love for my hometown and state generations deep with a strong historical perspective.
What is one thing you think the current board is doing right?
Looking at issues holistically, attempting to be more transparent, implementing more stringent development and engineering guidelines to force better development patterns for the future. Focusing on infrastructure, long neglected.
What is one thing you think the current board is doing wrong?
Tend to "rubberstamp" the initiatives and agenda of the current mayor without debate or question, such as working against the Mooresville Public Schools (MGSD) and advocating for certain developments as Langtree & MagLand and MI-Connection. Ignoring processes for citizen input such as the advice of appointed citizen boards. Ignoring the concerns of the individual in as much as the concerns are out of line with the agenda of the few ... oligarchy.
What specifically would you do if elected in response to the area's growth?
Seek opportunities to improve and lay groundwork for stronger infrastructure, as well as engaging the concerns and input of individual citizens for the betterment of Municipal processes.
