Looking for fireworks this weekend? In the Mooresville area, Lowe's YMCA will be the place to be. Tonight, the YMCA will host its annual Summer Celebration from 5-10 p.m. on the lawn, concluding with a fireworks show.
The free event will feature children's games, inflatables, rock climbing and Velcro walls, a jousting arena, balloon artists, face painting, a veteran's ceremony and a performance by the Lake Norman Orchestra.
There will also be food vendors as well as local arts and crafts.
Proceeds from the Summer Celebration will support the Lowe's YMCA Community Outreach Campaign, which raises funds for a variety of programs including preschool, summer camp, swim lessons and the organization's summer literacy program. Donations will also be accepted at the event.
Additionally, a free shuttle bus service will be provided from Peninsula Baptist Church on Brawley School Road to the Lowe's YMCA. For more information, visit www.ymcacharlotte.org
