Freedom Christian Center

The church will be having a fundraising plate lunch and yard sale on July 17-18. Plate lunches of fried chicken, fish or hotdogs will be available for pick-up or delivery all day Friday. The fish or chicken plate comes with 2 sides and dessert for $7. Hotdog lunch comes with 2 hotdogs, baked beans, chips and dessert for $5. Free delivery is available to any business location in areas surrounding Mooresville and Davidson.

A yard sale will be held at 918 N. Main St. in Davidson beginning at 8 a.m. on July 18. Along with many gently used items for sale, plate lunches will also be available. To place your order for either day, call Linda Mercer at 704-607-9295. All the proceeds from this fundraiser will be to complete renovations to the pastor's home, which was a gift from the church in celebration of their 25th year of marriage and ministry.

Teens and adult women are invited to attend a summer Bible study entitled, "Me, Myself and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover". This 6-week course began on June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Freedom Christian Center. The study will be held each Tuesday night through Aug. 4 and should last approximately 1 hour. The meetings will be held in the educational building. Participants will go through workbook lessons and view the related DVD lesson. Workbooks are available at the first class for $12.

Mooresville City Church

Continental breakfast is provided at the Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Services are held at the National Guard Armory, N. Broad St. Details: 704-562-1902.

Tuesday Night Fellowship is held from 7-8 p.m. Join for this time of round table discussion on the issues of life.

Holy Communion is served at the 10 a.m. service on the first Sundays.

Fourth Sundays are Soul Food Sunday. This will be a time of free food and fellowship with friends and families of the Mooresville community.

Lakeside Presbyterian

The canned food drive continues at the church. There is a bin for the canned goods in the hallway. These will be given to the Mooresville Soup Kitchen.

Redeemer's Light UMC

Relight is a Christian church that offers a casual, come as you are environment in which the message of Jesus is authentically presented in a way that is relevant to your everyday life. The talks are meaningful and uplifting and the music is current and upbeat. At Relight, all are invited, and all are welcome.

Williamson's Chapel UMC

We go to Galveston, Texas on July 25-Aug. 2 for rebuilding in areas devastated by the hurricanes.

Williams Wednesdays for Women are underway at 10 a.m. with three studies being offered.

Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, 575 Brawley School Road, is offering a new Saturday service at the church at 6 p.m. "Connexion" has begun, and offers contemporary music, Bible messages and the opportunity to make new friends and worship Christ in a casual, friendly community. The singles ministry at Williamsons Chapel has ongoing events including: coffee time to welcome and visit with singles between services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the old parlor A from 10:45-11:15 a.m.; Bible study which meets Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room B201. Childcare is provided. No reservations are needed; Members work on a Habitat for Humanity program the first and third Saturdays of each month. Fieldstone Presbyterian

Studies will be held during the week as follows: Monday night study on "Mary, The Mother of Jesus" from 6-8 p.m.; Tuesday morning Bible Study on Revelation, from 10-11:30 a.m.; Wednesday night program, including children's choir, supper, Tonechimes, Adult Bible Study, and Children's Bible Study; Friday Night Theology on Tap at Beef O'Brady's from 6-8 p.m.; Couples' Bible study, the first Saturday of each month; and Spiritual Leadership Certificate Program, Sundays from 5-7 p.m.; Youth group meets twice per month.

The community is invited to join us for our weekly hotdog lunches, which are held every Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations are gladly accepted for this meal.

Holy Eucharist Rite II is held at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sundays.

Park Avenue UMC

Wednesday night church activities on July 8 include a Bible study and worship from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Sunday services on July 12 begin with contemporary worship service at 8:45 a.m., Meet and Greet with donuts and coffee at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m. and traditional worship service at 11 a.m.

Coddle Creek ARP

The Appalachia Missions Team is in Harrogate, Tenn., for a week of ministry.

Rev. Mark Miller, former youth intern, will preach for us on July 12. A covered dish luncheon will follow the service.

A college age Sunday school class will meet this summer for 8 weeks. It began June 14. Graduating high school seniors, college students, and young singles are encouraged to attend.

A playgroup for moms and children is meeting on Fridays at 10 a.m. Contact Haley Bormann for more information.

A book exchange table is located in the foyer of the educational building. All books can be had for 50 cents each. Proceeds will be divided between the Community Pregnancy Center and the Mooresville Area Bible Teachers' Association.

The Wolf Scouts meet Mondays at 6:30 p.m., and the Tiger Scouts meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

A group is meeting each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. praying for the effort to plant a daughter congregation.

The youth groups meet at 5 p.m. on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays.

Berea Baptist

Join on Wednesdays for family supper at 6 p.m., for Berea Kids at 6:30 p.m., and adult Bible study at 7 p.m.

The SYBA Children's Ministry Summer Camps will be July 16 and July 30 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Baptist Center.

Centre Presbyterian

Mother's Morning Out meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m.

The 2 cents a meal offering will be received on July 26.

The Ada Williams Circle meets on Aug. 2 at 3 p.m.

The session meets on July 12 at 12:15 p.m.

The youth group meets at 4:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Sundays.

Vacation Bible School will be held through July 10 from 9 a.m. until noon.

John and Carlene Schafer will host their annual gathering on July 19 at 2 p.m. Mission congregations of First Presbytery are invited as well as neighboring ARP congregations. A hot dog supper will be provided as well as a vesper service.

John Calvin, minister of the Word and Sacraments and reformed theologian, turns 500 years old on July 10. Celebrations are being held throughout the world. One such celebration is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, where he lived and worked. John Calvin is an important figure in the history of the Presbyterian Church.

A women's Christian book review club began meeting on July 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Bring a book you would like to share with others.

An Explorers Class will begin on Aug. 23. Those interested in joining the church should attend.

Greater Harvest Reformed

The diaconate meets the third Monday of each month.

A men's luncheon meets on the first and third Wednesdays.

Music rehearsals are held on Sundays as follows: hand bell quartet – 4 p.m., hand bells – 5 p.m., and adult choir – 6 p.m.

Mooresville ARP

A beginner's aerobic exercise class is held on Mondays and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Fitness Instructor Amy Rankin is the leader.

The session meets at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 2.

The Sunday evening youth groups are meeting.

The deacons meet on July 19 at noon.

The Men's breakfast will be held on July 12 at 8 a.m. at Corine's Cafe.
