Two men were charged in connection with a break-in at a local business.
Coty Sherrill Speight, 28, of Troutman was charged with possession of stolen property, possession with intent to sell/deliver Schedule II and maintaining a dwelling to keep/sell/deliver controlled substances.
Keith Andrew Adams, 45, of Statesville was charged with nine counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from those vehicles and larceny of vehicle parts.
Sheriff Phil Redmond said that on Nov. 9, John Woodie of John Woodie Enterprises on Shelton Avenue reported multiple items were stolen from his business.
Lt . Andy Poteat and Sgt. Tim Edwards began an investigation, and linked Adams to the thefts, Redmond said.
Adams, Redmond said, took the stolen items to Coty's Recycling and sold them to Speight, the owner of the business. Redmond said detectives learned Speight knew the items were possibly stolen.
The investigation of the case is continuing.
