Statesville tabbed for SCBL franchise

The city of Statesville is the location of the newest baseball franchise in the eight0team Southern Colle-giate Baseball League.
The SCBL is a summer league made up of top collegiate players from around the country who are being developed to potentially play in the major leagues.
The team is nicknamed the Owls, and will play 14 home games at Statesville High School this summer.
