I can't vote because I am not 18 years old yet. If I could vote, I would be voicing my opinion in every single election, never forfeiting this precious right I have as an American.
Twenty-five years ago, on Oct. 23, 1983, at 6:22 a.m., terrorists drove a large delivery truck loaded with 12,000 pounds of TNT into the lobby of the barracks where some 300 American Marines slept and detonated the explosives. The explosion crumbled the four-story building, killing 220 Marines and 21 other U.S. service members while they were sleeping.
Well done! Thank you, Tribune, for your integrity and tenacity to tell the story of what is going in our town. This is just what we need in a small-town paper.
