Barack Obama would not be good for our country

When are people in this country going to wake up see the truth about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama? Obama is treated as the greatest presidential candidate since JFK. The media is in the tank for him and they are pulling out all of the stops to make sure that he gets elected president.
Obama will increase taxes. Letting the Bush tax cuts expire is a tax increase and these tax cuts affect everyone, rich or poor. His proposed tax increases will hurt investment and this, in turn, will curb growth, which is something that this country does not need.
Obama wants to insure the 47 million people who do not have health insurance. This number is commonly used by Democrats because it includes the estimate 14 million illegal immigrants currently in our country. This basically means that if you are here illegally, you will have free access to our health-care system. Sorry, this is wrong by anyone's measure.
The Democrats currently have no energy plan. Obama has stated that he is not upset at the high price of gas, just that he wished the price had not increased as fast as it did. Does this upset you? It should.
Currently, the Democrats in control of Congress will not even allow a vote on drilling offshore, drilling in Alaska, and even inside of our on borders. Why? It is a simple vote, yes or no. The Democratic Party is beholden to the environmentalists and they are against drilling.
Obama has stated that he will reach across the aisle and work with Republicans. I find this strange because he has voted the Democratic Party line 95 percent of the time. He is considered the most liberal senator because of this voting record.
Obama was against the surge in Iraq and still is. I guess he does not understand that he was able to go to Iraq last week because of the surge.
Obama talks about fixing our image abroad. To me, it looks like the Europeans are coming over to our way of thinking. England, France and Germany have moved to a more conservative government, while Obama will take us in the opposite direction.
People need to look at this man's voting record and where he stood on issues before he became the Democratic Party's nominee for president — not after — because this is what he truly believes and stands for.
As it stands, Obama will be nothing more than a rubber stamp for the left wing of the Democratic Party and this is not good for the country.
