Iredell sees first dusting of snow this fall

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21.

The current temperature as of 6:30 a.m. is 34 degrees. Sunrise will be at 7:05 a.m. and sunset at 5:12 p.m.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with numerous snow showers in the morning, then turning mostly sunny by afternoon. There will be little or no snow accumulation. It will be windy with highs in the lower 40s. Winds will be at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon. The chance of snow is 40 percent.

Friday night will be clear with lows around 20 and continued windy with 10 to 15 mph winds and gusts up to 25 mph, diminishing after midnight.

Saturday will be mostly sunny in the morning and then become partly sunny by afternoon with highs in the mid 40s. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy in the evening and then become partly cloudy with lows in the lower 20s.

Sunday will be sunny and more seasonable with highs in the lower 50s. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain showers and highs in the lower 50s. Lows Monday night will be in the mid 30s.

Tuesday will be partly sunny in the morning and then become mostly sunny by afternoon and highs will be in the lower 50s.
