With three weeks 'til Christmas, downtown Mooresville is well underway in celebrating the season and will continue the festivities throughout December for kids, families and adults.

Here's a look at the lineup:

Beginning Thursday night, Main Street's Alexander Zachary Jewelers will host a Ladies Night from 6-8 p.m. Donations of at least one canned or non-perishable food item are requested and will benefit the Mooresville Soup Kitchen. Wine and appetizers will be served. For more information, call 704-663-3430.
On Friday, the Movies on Main series will continue with the showing of "Polar Express" at 6:30 p.m. at Mooresville Town Hall. It's free.
Also Friday evening, the Mooresville Downtown Commission will begin its Friday seasonal celebrations. Held three consecutive Fridays – Dec. 4, 11 and 18 – from 6-8 p.m., people can enjoy live music, visit with Santa Claus, stroll through Christmas Tree Lane or cozy up with a wagon ride. Most events are free. Wagon rides will cost $1 or one canned good to benefit the Mooresville Christian Mission.
Santa's Workshop will also be on display at Christmas Tree Lane in John Franklin Moore Park across from the old train depot. The workshop – created through a partnership between the MDC and N.F. Woods Advanced Technology & Arts Center – will be raffled off as well. Tickets will be sold each Friday night in the park and the proceeds will equally benefit the MDC and N.F. Woods.
