The Mooresville Fire Department and Lake Norman Volunteer fire Department received sizeable federals grants Thursday for staffing and equipment upgrades.
U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry was in Mooresville to present U.S. Department of Homeland Security grants to each department.
Grants of $563,550 and $61,750 went to the MFD and LN VFD, respectively, to be used for staffing and equipment.
