Local UW agencies to receive about 85% of their funding requests

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A one-two punch from the recession and the year-long pay scandal involving the former CEO of United Way of Central Carolinas has left Mooresville-Lake Norman agencies with about 85 percent of the funding they requested for the coming year.

The good news is that the $900,000 being allocated to this area's 20 health and human services member agencies is more than some officials anticipated.
