Art league seeks entries for exhibition

The Lake Norman Art League invites artists of all media to enter work in its 2009 Spring Exhibition, judged by J. Michael Simpson, Artist and Instructor at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

The exhibit will be on display April 1 through May 1, at the League's Gallery Space located at 442 S. Main Street in Davidson.

Artists must hand-deliver entries to the LKN Gallery space on Friday, March 27, from 5-7 p.m. or Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Cash and prizes will be presented for winning works, including $500 for First Place, $250 for Second Place, $125 for Third Place, and (3) $50 Honorable Mentions.

Awards will be presented during the April 17 public reception held from 6-9 p.m., part of the April is for Arts Gallery Crawl.

All visual artists age 18 years or older may enter four works. Artists should download a prospectus containing full details and an entry form from the Lake Norman Art League website, www.LKNArt.org.
