Arts Council offers grants for art organizations

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Iredell Arts Council announced today that Grassroots Arts Program Subgrants are now available for qualified arts organizations for the fiscal year 2009-10. Funds for the Grassroots Arts Program come from the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Grassroots Arts Program Subgrants may be used by arts organizations for almost any kind of expenditure incurred in conducting an arts program, including cost associated with performances, artists' fees, advertising, space rental and supplies. These funds cannot be awarded to individuals.

Contact the Iredell Arts Council for the complete list of unallowable uses of Grassroots Arts monies. Any Grassroots money granted to arts organizations must be matched, dollar for dollar, with funds from local sources.

Application forms are available from the Art Council's offices in the Old Iredell County Jail on the corner of Court and South Meeting Streets, or call (704) 873-6100 to have an application mailed.

The deadline for applications is July 10.
