Lake Norman's girls finished fourth Saturday in the 4A West Regional at McAlpine Greenway Park in Charlotte and will compete in the state meet Saturday at Tanglewood Park.
Jenny Gallagher, a junior, paced the Wildcats at regionals, finishing fifth overall with a time of 19 minutes.
Sophomores Kelsie Rubino and Taylor Sweet also placed in the top 30 of an event featuring 119 runners. Rubino finished 19th with a time of 19 minutes, 52 seconds. Sweet, placed 29th with a time of 20:18.
