»  Comments | Post a Comment

A recount of Tuesday's votes in the Mooresville mayoral election has upheld challenger Chris Montgomery's narrow victory over incumbent Bill Thunberg.

Thursday's recount, requested by Thunberg following his loss on Tuesday, actually increased Montgomery's margin of victory to 17 votes.

A complete look back at the election, including Rhett Dusenbury's defeat of incumbent Frank Rader in the At-Large Commissioner's race, will be in Friday's Mooresville Tribune.
