Because the remnants of Hurricane Ida may mean heavy rainfall for Iredell and surrounding areas, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for this area.
A watch means means conditions are favorable for flash floods in areas prone to flooding.
This watch will remain in effect until Wednesday afternoon.
