»  Comments | Post a Comment

If you're a military veteran looking for a job, an employment fair Thursday in Mooresville could be right up your alley.

The "Focus On Veterans Job Fair" will bring veterans together with a wide variety of employers who are looking for specific skills offered by men and women who have served in the armed forces.

Sponsored by Iredell County JobLink and the Employment Security Commission, the job fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mooresville National Guard Armory on North Broad Street.

Among the employers on hand, with exhibits illustrating their job opportunities, will be representatives of law enforcement, health care, manufacturing, insurance, financial services, education and staffing agencies.

Military or government-related agencies on hand will include the U.S. Secret Service, Homeland Security and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call Bill Boyd at 704-878-4241, extension 224.
