Mooresville Church of Christ

Worship times at the church, which is located at 233 Glenwood Dr., Mooresville are as follows: Sundays, 10 a.m. Bible class, 11 a.m. worship, 6 p.m. worship, and Wednesday at 7 p.m., Bible class. Lunch at the church is held after the morning service on the third Sunday of every month and visitors are invited to stay and eat with them.

Free Bible studies on DVD are offered each month. For a free copy, call the church at 704-663-7414.

The church is offering a free Bible correspondence course through the mail and in taken in the privacy of your home and at your own pace.

Freedom Christian Center

Mooresville City Church

Continental breakfast is provided at the Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Services are held at the National Guard Armory, N. Broad St. Details: 704-562-1902.

Tuesday Night Fellowship is held from 7-8 p.m. Join for this time of round table discussion on the issues of life.

Holy Communion is served at the 10 a.m. service on the first Sundays.

Fourth Sundays are Soul Food Sunday. This will be a time of free food and fellowship with friends and families of the Mooresville community.

Lakeside Presbyterian

A Conference, "The Christian Home", will be offered here on Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

The canned food drive continues at the church. There is a bin for the canned goods in the hallway. These will be given to the Mooresville Soup Kitchen.

Redeemer's Light UMC

The congregation welcomes their new pastor, Dustin James, who grew up around Lexington. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury. He served as a worship leader in Lexington, as a missionary in Guatemala where he started a computer class at an elementary school. For the past few years, Pastor James has been tutoring Spanish at a local community college.

Services are held at 10 a.m. at the Mooresville Intermediate School, Coddle Creek Hwy. Nursery is provided.

Williamson's Chapel UMC

On Oct. 6 at 10:30 a.m. the EverReady's senior group for ages 55 and over will meet for a covered dish lunch and devotions at the church. Bring $5. The mission project will be to bring donations for Hospice of Iredell County

Williams Wednesdays for Women are underway at 10 a.m. with three studies being offered.

Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, 575 Brawley School Road, is offering a new Saturday service at the church at 6 p.m. "Connexion" has begun, and offers contemporary music, Bible messages and the opportunity to make new friends and worship Christ in a casual, friendly community. The singles ministry at Williamsons Chapel has ongoing events including: coffee time to welcome and visit with singles between services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the old parlor A from 10:45-11:15 a.m.; Bible study which meets Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room B201. Childcare is provided. No reservations are needed; Members work on a Habitat for Humanity program the first and third Saturdays of each month. St. Luke Greek Orthodox

Fieldstone Presbyterian

Fieldstone gathers for Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and for worship at 11 a.m. on Sundays and offers various activities throughout the week to deepen our spiritual walk. Anyone in the community is welcome to join for any or all of their events. Call to confirm time and location at 704-663-2188.

Studies will be held during the week as follows: Monday night study on "Mary, The Mother of Jesus" from 6-8 p.m.; Tuesday morning Bible Study on Revelation, from 10-11:30 a.m.; Wednesday night program, including children's choir, supper, Tonechimes, Adult Bible Study, and Children's Bible Study; Friday Night Theology on Tap at Beef O'Brady's from 6-8 p.m.; Couples' Bible study, the first Saturday of each month; and Spiritual Leadership Certificate Program, Sundays from 5-7 p.m.; Youth group meets twice per month.

The community is invited to join us for our weekly hotdog lunches, which are held every Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations are gladly accepted for this meal.

St. Patrick's Episcopal

Holy Eucharist Rite II is held at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sundays.

Park Avenue UMC

Wednesday activities include adult Bible study and worship from 6:30-8 p.m.

Sunday services begin with contemporary worship service at 8:45 a.m., Meet and Greet with donuts and coffee at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m. and a blended worship service at 11 a.m.

Coddle Creek ARP

The senior citizens' banquet will be held on Oct. 24 in the fellowship hall.

The Covenant Kids Ministry begins on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The fall series of small groups will begin soon.

A covered dish lunch will follow the worship service on Sept. 27. The dual purpose of this event is to raise support for the Jubilee Birthday ladies sponsored by the WOC and to provide an opportunity for Shea Alexander to share his experiences with the house church in China.

A home-school co-op is using our building on Wednesday this fall.

A playgroup for moms and children is meeting on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

A book exchange table is located in the foyer of the fellowship hall. All books can be had for 50 cents each. Proceeds will be divided between the Community Pregnancy Center and the Mooresville Area Bible Teachers' Association.

The Wolf Scouts meet Mondays at 6:30 p.m., and the Tiger Scouts meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

A group is meeting each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. praying for the effort to plant a daughter congregation.

The youth groups meet at 5 p.m. on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays.

Broad Street UMC

On Sundays at 4 p.m. the Rainbow Ringers gather for practice.

On Wednesdays, the Master's Ringers meet for practice at 5:30 p.m. and both the Joyful Ringers and adult choir practices at 6:30 p.m.

The UM Kids will resume meeting on Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.

The Broad Street United Methodist Seniors (B.U.M.S.) will meet on Sept.17 at 10:30 a.m.

The Church Council will meet Sept. 20 at 6 p.m.

Circle #3 will sponsor its annual "Birthday Bash" on Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. Hamburgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings will be served. This is a birthday party for the entire church. Tables will be set up for every month year. Donations will be accepted.

United Methodist Kids In Action is sponsoring a spaghetti lunch following worship on Sept. 27 to benefit Samaritan's International. Donations will be accepted with the money going to feed hungry children.

The United Methodist Men will have breakfast with J.D. Gibbs Racing on Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. at Huntersville United Methodist Church.

The Lake Norman District Laity Formation Gathering, "Longing for More" will be held on Sept. 20 at Davidson United Methodist Church. Various speakers will be featured including Rev. Dr. Lillie M. Jones, the district superintendent.

Berea Baptist

Join on Wednesdays for family supper at 6 p.m., for Berea Kids at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study at 7 p.m.

Tapes of the worship services are available for shut-ins. Call the church office if you would like to receive the tapes.

The Women on Mission night group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The Baptist Women's evening group meets on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.

The Baptist Men's breakfast will be held on Oct. 4 at 8 a.m.

The Baptist Men's Supper will be held on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.

The Baptist Women's Morning Group meets on Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.

A trip to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium will be held on Aug. 21 to see a game between the Kannapolis Intimidators and the Bowling Green Hot Rods. We will enjoy an all-you-can eat cookout before the game and fireworks afterward.

A dinner theater trip is planned for Sept. 17 Wohlfahrt House Dinner Theater in Wytheville, Va.

The senior adults will have a covered dish luncheon on Oct. 6 at 11:45 a.m. in Faith Hall.

The Baptist Men will sponsor a clean-up day on Sept. 12 beginning at 8 a.m.

The Baptist Men will hold a yard sale on Oct. 10. Donations of items will be appreciated.

Centre Presbyterian

Mother's Morning Out meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m.

The 2-cents-a-meal offering will be received on Sept. 27.

The Ada Williams Circle meets on Oct. 4 at 3 p.m.

The diaconate meets on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.

The session meets on Oct. 4 at 12:15 p.m.

The youth group meets at 4:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Sundays.

Homecoming and the church's 244th Anniversary will be held on Sept. 27. Dinner-on-the-grounds will follow the morning worship service.

A church workday will be held on Sept. 12 at 8 a.m.

DaySpring ARP

Sunday youth groups meet bi-weekly at 4 p.m.

The Laity in Action Conference will be held at Bonclarken Conference Center on September 18 and 19. D. Richard D. Phillips, senior pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, Greenville, S.C., will be the keynote speaker.

First Presbytery's Spiritual Life Conference will be held on Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Back Creek Church, Charlotte.

The Fifth Sunday Night Sing will be held on the evening of Sept. 27 at the New Sterling Church, Stony Point, The Iredell County/Alexander County churches participate in this event.

Faith Presbyterian

The Women in the Church meet at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.

Central Carolina Presbytery's Women's Retreat will be held Oct. 9-11 at Ridge Haven Retreat Center in Brevard.

First Wesleyan

The choir is rehearsing each Sunday following the evening worship.

Harbor Presbyterian

Carl and Cassandra Larson are hosting a home fellowship meeting at 5 p.m. on Sundays. Patrick and Lori Neilsen host another group at the same time.

Calvin and Geeta Taylor, missionaries to India, will share with us during the worship service and Sunday school on Sept. 13.

A beginner's aerobic exercise class is held on Mondays and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Fitness Instructor Amy Rankin is the leader.

The deacons meet on Sept. 20 at noon.

The men's breakfast will be held on Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. at Corine's Cafe.
