Fire departments plan to help one of their own

Area firefighters are stepping up to help one of their own who lost his home to fire last month.
Central, Trinity, Wilkes-Iredell, Harmony and Union Grove fire departments will be hosting a ham breakfast beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday at each fire department.
The proceeds from the ham breakfast will go to Central firefighter Mike Sloan and his family. The Sloan's home was destroyed by fire in late August.
The biscuits will be sold for $2 each and donations will also be accepted to help the Sloan family.
The public is invited to drop by any of these fire departments from 6 a.m. until Saturday to help the Sloan family.
