One 16-year-old and five juveniles face charges of vandalizing a school after authorities said they found a camera in which the crimes were recorded.

Christian Andrew Anderson, 16, of Hamptonville, and five teens under the age of 16 face charges of defacing a public building and second-degree trespass, said Capt. Darren Campbell of the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

Campbell said deputies responded to Harmony Elementary School just before 6 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call about trespassers, and found Anderson and five other teens skateboarding in the area of the school bus. They also found a camera on the ground and, after viewing it, discovered Anderson and the other teens on the tape spray painting graffiti on a brick wall at the school.

The six were taken into custody.
