The Board of Directors of the Davidson Community Players announces the appointment of Diane Benson as the organization's new Executive Director.
Diane relocated to Lake Norman two years ago, after leaving a successful career in marketing and financial management. She is thrilled to be living near her family in Huntersville and has had an opportunity to become involved in a variety of organizations, including: The Ada Jenkins Center and the Carolina Junior Achievement.
Her background is diverse and combines extensive experience in both marketing and finance, as well as a passion for the arts. She has directed a variety of successful fundraising efforts and was a volunteer with the Westport Playhouse. A resident of Westport, CT for more than 30 years, Diane also has a background in acting and was a student at HB Studios in New York.

The Davidson Community Players launched a search for a new Executive Director three months ago when former Executive Director Cindy Rice left to pursue a new opportunity in Washington, D.C.
The Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established in 1965 to produce theatre that entertains, enriches and encourages community participation in the dramatic arts.
