Oxycontin taken during pharmacy robbery

STATESVILLE, NC - The Statesville Police Department is investigating the robbery of a local pharmacy.
A man walked into the CVS Pharmacy, 178 Turnersburg Hwy. around 9:40 p.m. Friday.
He went to the pharmacy counter, produced a handgun and demanded narcotics, said Sgt. Kenny Cornelius.
The suspect demanded the pharmacist give my all the oxycontin in the store, Cornelius said.
Once he received the oxycontin, he left the store.
The suspect was described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, with reddish/brown facial hair. He was approximately 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-11-inches tall.
