On Feb. 4, the house was broken into and Detective Sgt. J.T. Smith was able to check the video surveillance footage. He noticed a man and woman inside the house, Redmond said.
Noticing the suspects appeared to be in their teens, Smith showed the footage to Lake Norman High School Resource Officer Marsha Sigmon. Sigmon assisted Smith in identifying the one teen as Lea Nicole Lally, 16, of Mooresville was the female suspect, Redmond said.
Smith said he learned the identity of the male suspect, Jered Lee Lindsay, 16, of Sherrills Ford. Both were arrested on charges of breaking and entering.
