MOORESVILLE, NC - The Mooresville and Mount Mourne fire departments each received funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
Mt. Mourne Fire Department received $57,000 and Mooresville received $18,000 of the $3,614,219 distributed in the state of North Carolina.
"For the thousands of men and women who risk life and limb as first responders, these fire grants provide essential support so they can carry out their mission," said FEMA Regional Administrator Phil May. "FEMA is proud to support them and we congratulate them as they continue to carry out this vital public service."
