Express-bus parking expands

»  Comments | Post a Comment

If you drive to Huntersville to ride the CATS 48X express bus to Charlotte, you're getting some more room to park.

Transit customers using the Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride will now find more room for their cars when they commute. Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) just opened 101 additional parking spaces to accommodate riders using the 48X Huntersville Express.

"The Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride is one of CATS' busiest park and rides," said David Feltman, CATS Project Development Manager. "In just the last two fiscal years, ridership on the 48X Huntersville Express increased over 37 percent which put the availability of parking spaces at capacity."

The Huntersville Gateway Park and Ride now includes 311 parking spaces. This facility also includes shelters for riders at the front of the lot, a secure and covered area for bicycles and 24-hour video surveillance.

To learn more about CATS and its services call 704-336-RIDE (7433) or visit us on the web at www.ridetransit.org
