Harkey dominant as North softball rolls

North Iredell pitcher Karley Harkey struck out the first nine batters she faced Thursday as the Raiders defeated South Iredell 6-0.

Harkey pitched a complete-game and struck out 15 while allowing two hits.

At the plate, the Raiders sophomore went 3-for-6 with a triple. Elizabeth Johnson also had three hits, including a double.

Callie Johnson had two base hits for North (1-0), and Krista Norman and Taylor Rosenbalm both hit doubles.
