A pair of juniors is expected to do most of the damage for Mooresville's boys golf team this year.
So far, both are off to great starts.
Ian Harper blistered Mooresville Municipal by shooting a 35 in last week's nine-hole, two-team match against South Iredell.
Luke Robbins followed suit by shooting a 39.
"They each have played a lot of tournaments and we look for them to be very good for the next two years," Blue Devils coach Hoppy Hopkins said.
Robbins shot a 41 while Harper contributed a 45 during last week's opening I-Meck 4A Conference meet as the Blue Devils took sixth as a team.
The I-Meck is expected pretty stout this year.
North Meck qualified for the state championship match as a team last year in 4A, as did Lake Norman in 3A.
