Wildcats baseball moves to 3-0

Lake Norman shook off four Glenn runs in the first inning to pick-up a nice 7-5 road win on Saturday.

Trailing 4-1 after the first, the Wildcats outscored Glenn 5-0 over the next five innings to pull away for victory.

Tyler Lewis earned the win for the Wildcats (3-0). He pitched a perfect sixth inning and struck out two.

Taylor Thurber maintained the lead in the seventh inning to earn the save.

Joey McAlpin went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for Lake Norman while Drew McNeil and Brad Chamberlain both connected on home runs.

Starting pitcher Scottie Williams gave up four runs on just two hits in five innings.
