Blue Devils softball gets 7-6 win over Carson

Mooresville's softball season is off to a good start.

The Blue Devils downed former North Piedmont Conference foe Carson 7-6 on Monday.

Megan Hillard went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to lead Mooresville's offense.

Margaret Whitestone drove in three runs, while Hope Smith and Jasmine Berryman both drove in two runs. Whitestone also got the win on the mound.

Mooresville opens I-Meck 4A play Wednesday against Mallard Creek.
