A 19-year-old Charlotte woman was charged this week with making harassing calls to Mooresville family.

According to a report from the Iredell County Sheriff's Office:

On Feb., Deputy P.S.Campbell received a report of Harassing Telephone Calls from a Mooresville family. It was reported the daughter of the family had received numerous calls from a restricted telephone number on Feb. 1.

The daughter stated the calls had been on going for approximately five months.

Detective Sgt. J.T. Smith spoke with the family and collected further information about the calls. Smith then obtained a court order for telephone records and sent it to the victim's telephone carrier.

The results were sent back to Detective Smith and he met with the daughter to review the results. The results exposed the suspect's telephone number that had been restricted when the calls were made.

The daughter recognized the number as belonging to her former boyfriend's new girlfriend. Smith contacted the number and spoke with Brittany Lynn Fairclouth 19, of Charlotte.

Smith later obtained a warrant charging Faircloth with Harassing Telephone Calls.
