Mooresville softball cruises past Mallard Creek

Mooresville's softball team was on the winning end of a five-inning decision Wednesday. The Blue Devils got another strong outing from Margaret Whitestone to turn back I-Meck 4A foe Mallard Creek 11-1.

Whitestone allowed just three hits and struck out four for Mooresville (2-0, 1-0). She also hit a home run.

Megan Hillard went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Blue Devils. Hope Smith and Jasmine Berryman both finished 2-for-3 and combined for two RBIs and two runs.
