Lake Norman scored eight runs in the first inning and sixth in the fifth to blast Mallard Creek 16-2 in five innings Tuesday.
Chloe Archer got the win on the mound for the Wildcats. She allowed two runs while striking out eight to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Stacey Houser was the star at the plate. She finished 3-for-4 and drove in four runs while JoBeth Wright had two hits and four RBIs as well.
Archer had three hits while Hannah Littlefield drove in two runs for Lake Norman.
