A software problem that caused about 700 student and faculty laptop computers to crash late last week was solved over the weekend, and all of the laptops have been repaired, Mooresville Graded School district officials reported Monday.
"Our technology staff worked around the clock through the weekend," said Supt. Mark Edwards. "All of the affected laptops should be returned to students today."
The problem occured late Thursday night when an automatic update of an anti-virus program malfunctioned, preventing some 700 of the MGSD's 4,500 laptops from booting up.
