Mooresville’s Bottom Dollar grocery store is among 126 Bottom Dollar and Bloom stores to be closed.

Delhaize, the Belgian corporation that owns Food Lion, Bottom Dollar, Bloom and other brands, announced Thursday it will close six Bottom Dollar stores, including Mooresville's. Also to be closed are 113 underperforming Food Lion stores in the U.S.

In all, the Food Lion closures represent about 10 percent of the Salisbury-based chain's total store count.

No Mooresville Food Lion stores were among those listed for closure.

Also, Delhaize said it plans to retire the Bloom banner and convert its remaining stores into Food Lions.
