Jacob Tutterrow (103 pounds) and Roger Vargas (heavyweight) won their first seven wrestling matches of the season. They reached the final in the their respective weight classes during an individual tournament hosted by Watauga last weekend.
Tutterrow, Vargas and Andrew Wike (152 pounds) combined for three runner-up finishes. North totaled 100 points to place sixth overall — one spot ahead of reigning NPC champion Mooresville — in an event featuring wrestlers from 15 schools.
