  • Heavy rains trigger sewage spill in Mooresville

    Heavy rains Monday caused an estimated 13,600 gallons of untreated sewage to overflow a sanitary sewer and spill into Reeds Creek at the Mooresville Golf Course. In a press release, Mooresville officials said the spill “was not of magnitude to cause immediate danger to human health or the environment.” Mooresville received 3.5 inches of rain Monday, said Jamie Johnson, Field Operations Supervisor for the town. The overflow occurred off Golf Course Drive on Monday night.
